Beginnings
Niksar Australia commenced operations in 1991 by providing Systems
Engineering services to the Jindalee Over-the-Horizon project and some
Technical Support (repairs and maintenance) to in-service Naval Electronic
Warfare, Fire Control and Communications equipment.
With the passage of time and growth of the Company, expansion into
Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
systems engineering for manufacturing industry was achieved with the
delivery of many in-line production test systems delivered and commissioned.
ATE facilities for the maintenance of Australian Defence installation
capabilities were developed and commissioned at several sites. |

 |
software engineering and integration |
 |
engineering of military and rail transport platforms in areas of:
 | EMI/EMC studies
(simulations and analyses) for weapon and sensor integration on military
aircraft |
 |
antenna placement studies
and reports for military aircraft systems integration |
 |
hazard analyses
of
radiating systems on military aircraft and civilian transport platforms (HERP, HERF, HERO, etc) |
 |
signals analysis and
processing |
 |
antenna and cable electromagnetic interference and compatibility
performance modelling |
 |
communications systems engineering and support |
 |
RF propagation modelling,
analysis and reporting |
 |
specialised electronics design and development |

Niksar engages in small-scale manufacturing of specialised
components and items that are not readily procured; to do this we carry out
detailed design and drawing with the use of contractors for parts
fabrication and limited assembly/testing. Final assembly and testing
is generally conducted in-house. This leads to quality on-going support
services for many disparate items for our customers.
All projects and associated activities at Niksar are conducted in keeping
with accepted systems engineering and quality assurance practices.
See our news, projects
and services pages for the specific
details of some of our projects and services. |
