of TRM Units (RFID)

As the designer and developer, Niksar Australia hold key aspects of its IP and continues to support Transponder Reader Module (TRM) units that are used as a significant component of an Automatic Train Protection system used by railways customers. TRM units are currently used by Australia's major railway operator, Aurizon (formerly Queensland Rail) and QR.  Niksar provides a complete maintenance,  refurbishing and certification service in our workshop for re-installation on locomotives and passenger trains.

Our involvement with this technology has reached a new milestone now - with the embodying ATP system (Westect II) developed, Certified, manufactured in quantity and in full operational service. Niksar is working in support of its end-user customers.
